What is a skills assessment?

A skills assessment is designed to encourage change and professional development. This individual support enables you to take stock of your career path by identifying your professional and personal skills, as well as your aptitudes and motivations.

How to carry out a skills assessment

The skills assessment is a form of support in the form of individual work sessions (face-to-face or remote), lasting from 2 to 6 months, and comprising 20 hours of support and 3 phases:

The "preliminary" or requirement definition phase

Definition of your expectations and objectives. Duration: 1 hour

The "investigation" phase

Analysis of your professional and personal background, to identify your skills and personality traits, your motivations and interests, your resources and your interpersonal style.
Diagnostic tools are proposed during this phase. Duration: 10am to 12pm

The "professional project definition" phase

Based on the information formalized during the investigation phase, structuring of your professional project. Interviews with professionals may be scheduled to validate your project.
At this stage, we also identify the main stages in the implementation of your project, and the factors that may or may not lead to its realization.
A summary document can be produced during this final phase, summarizing your career path, the project selected and the action plan identified for its implementation. Duration: 6 to 8 hours

What are the objectives of a skills assessment?

The objectives of the skills assessment are :

  • Establish a career plan adapted to the individual's professional aspirations
  • Formalize the person's skills, aptitudes, intrinsic motivations, values and competencies
  • Enable candidates to talk confidently about their career path, and showcase their assets to their company or in any recruitment or career transition process.

Duration of skills assessment

A skills assessment program is a step-by-step process over a set period of time. Clients are free to choose the pace and time slots that suit them best, depending on their availability. Around twenty hours of work are required to carry out a skills assessment in the best possible conditions.

Who can benefit from a skills assessment?

All employees

Any employee in the public or private sector, whether an expert, manager or executive, can ask to be accompanied by one of our experts for a skills assessment. Given that the assessment is spread over several weeks, employees who wish to take advantage of this assessment during working hours must obtain prior authorization from their employer. If, on the other hand, he chooses to do so during his personal time, he is not obliged to inform his employer.
